The first record I bought from this outfit was at the beginning of the 2005. It had a sound reminiscent of label like KMS or Planet E, from the late 80s-esrly 90s. I imagined the producer to be a groovy black guy, in basement in the projects of Detroit. Fast forward five years: Stuart Lee is from Hong Kong but born in Toronto, so not so far away from motor city or Chicago, from where he would listen to radio shows emitting form across the water of Lake Michigan. Naturally his own productions have similar characteristics of his inspirers – music with groove and soul and with strong emphasis on tight crisp production. He has released records on label such as Mule, Versatile, and Philpot. At the moment he is working for his own label Left of the Dail recordings. Music for connoisseurs.

I always find it difficult to introduce a friend, especially when he is one that needs no introduction. It has been two years since Vincenzo last played in the Garito cabin, although he has been a regular to the island, but it is Garito where you can he him play his true style. With a distinctive sound, and a special talent, his productions range from down tempo house to deep house and techno. He has also done a bunch of re-edits of classic disco and Italo House trax. Hi latest work shows a maturity of an artist less concerned with the norm, but dedicated to quality and originality. Don’t miss his set.
