Rafael Moraes

Rafael Moraes

When the great Barsilian Diva Elis Regina was performing on the stage of Brasil, Rafael went with his parents and was greatly influenced by what he heard. the country of the Amazons has always been identified with the rhythmns of black music; something obvious, since great part of the population comes from the African continent. This influence is one that has passed on to Nomumbah. Alongside André Torquato and Ale Reis, he makes up this group of djs and musician-producers, formed within the broken beat and future jazz scene of Sao Paolo. Rafael and his sidekicks are currently under the wing of Osunlade (Yoruba Record), and in his sessions as a dj he combines the warmest rhythms with the most up to date electronic sounds.
