Garito Café: la chaise longue - july

It was the best 10th anniversary, and not only because the events and festivities went even better than we could have imagined. The staff were great; working out of the skins, and Giles Peterson played a truly great set that epitomised the Garito sound exactly, rising to the occasion and had the crowd eating out of his hands. This type of event always put one under a little stress, but it was worth it. Once again thanks to all the staff that have worked with us over the years; you are the soul of Garito.

After the hangover we now get back to a normal routine. Sweet routine. The Mediterranean summer is now in full effect, and the nights are long and warm. The perfect combination; reading, siesta, sun and sea in the day, and by night to laugh and dance to good music. Hedonism at it’s finest.

Aside from the resident DJs, (Isaac, Valentin, Alex, and Victor) this month we will have Alex Dallas, aka The Lost Men form the Swiss Label Drumpoet Community, and also Angel Garcia, our friend from The Room in Madrid in the cabin, and in August, as with every year, we have no program. Instead we will just play things spontaneously, i.e I have no idea who will be playing when, and will probably resort to phoning Isaac last minute and begging him to get down and play some music, as it maybe a better idea than asking the kitchen hand to stand in. No seriously it won’t be that disorganised. There may even be some surprises!
